Self-Trust for the Moments That Count
The moments that matter rarely look dramatic at first.

They start with a sensation. A pause. A choice.

This is about learning how you respond before things escalate — and having the capacity to choose differently when they do.

How you stay grounded.
How you stay connected.
How you meet pressure without losing yourself.
When Stress Take Over
It’s rarely the big moments that catch us.
A sharp tone, a crossed boundary, a situation that feels off — your body reacts before your brain has time to catch up. Shoulders tense. Breath shortens. Words come out faster, slower, or not at all.

People and situations can apply pressure — but stress is what happens inside us. When it spikes, thinking clearly gets harder. That’s why we fall back on patterns: freeze, push, smooth things over, or react in ways we later wish we hadn’t.

Understanding this gives you choice.
If verbal de-escalation isn’t enough, your posture, balance, and presence become tools to respond physically, mentally, and emotionally — without meeting violence with violence.
It’s about staying grounded and connected so self-trust guides you when it matters most.

Whatever you feel comfortable in. We will train bare foot (or socks) to better help you feel connected to your structure and balance.
-
Bring a drink bottle - snackies if you need them, and a notebook and pen if you love to write things down like I do.
-
-
Do I need to be fit or strong?
-
All fitness levels are welcome. The physical element is all about how YOUR body moves, understanding and working with that ability.

Will this be intense or confronting?

No. Whilst everyone responds differently to information and situations, you will not be pushed beyond your capabilities and can choose to take a break at any time.

Should I bring a Support Buddy?
-
100% - These workshops are always more comfortable if you can drag along a bestie. But don't worry - if you're a Lone Wolf there will be plenty of lovely people around.

About
Hi, I’m Jo. I help women build real-world confidence and practical skills that work in the body, the mind, and the emotions — so you can respond effectively when it matters most.
I focus on the whole person, not just techniques.
Everything I teach is adaptable to your stage of progress, starting from the bottom up — from how you breathe and stand, to how you move, think, and trust yourself under pressure.
I bring over 20 years of martial arts experience — including boxing, kickboxing, and combatives — along with certifications in Personal Training and Embodied Processing.
Everything I teach is practical, grounded, and designed to help you feel capable, present, and in control.
And yes, we’ll have a laugh along the way, because confidence is way more fun when it’s not all serious.
